Description
This full-body workout features a slimming yoga sequence that focuses on all major muscles; strengthening joints; and toning, with the aim of maintaining fitness and building strength. Suitable for regular practitioners.
Start with dynamic full-body stretching and strengthening moves, such as the twisting triangle pose, swinging legs side-to-side, then flow into a sun salutation with variations, like a twisting high lunge and a side plank. The transition of poses helps to develop strength and muscle tone. This is followed by leg and core strengthening poses such as the goddess pose, with heels up; lateral stretches; one-legged balancing poses; crunches; and reverse table pose. The class ends with gentle, relaxing stretches and energy-activating breathing techniques.
