Description
This advanced hatha yoga sequence features a comprehensive flow of balancing, forward bending, backward bending, twisting, and inversion poses. The class begins with preparatory postures, followed by a step-by-step approach toward the final pose, and ends with neutralising movements and counter poses. Modifications are given; please practice safely and progressively by listening to your body. Suitable for regular practitioners.
You will warm up with some dynamic movements, and get started with balancing poses including the dancer pose; standing splits, which improves body coordination and stability; and backward bending poses, like the camel pose, to increase flexibility. Progressively, you'll move into more challenging poses with variations, like the king pigeon; full splits; and arm balancing poses, like the flying pigeon.
