Description
This session is an intermediate class with offered modifications. Yoga blocks, straps, and wall support are recommended. You will learn postures from a low to high intensity, focus on building strength as well as improving mobility in the shoulders and upper back.
Begin with shoulder warm-ups and dynamic stretch on joints. Go through various movements and intensities, with a combination of shoulder external and internal rotations, flexion, extension, abduction and adduction. Prepare for back bending poses by opening the chest with wall support. Guide into more challenging and advanced poses such as dancer pose, king pigeon pose and wheel pose. Observe every step, modification, neutralizing movement and counterpose. Establish mindfulness, follow your body sensation and progress safely. Breathing is emphasised throughout the practice.
